A podcast from The Electronic Exchange (aka Tulis Rennie and Najia Baji) in support of their E.P of the same name. The E.P itself was a collaborative effort with tracks being made by sending ideas back and forth, with the 2 never in the same room whilst making and producing the E.P.
A 70 minute mix of cosmic dubstep, cerebral techno and interplanetary ambient sounds. Split roughly into two halves, the second showcasing some unreleased Szare material. Definitely one for all you nocturnal people.
Recorded the day after the bands gig at Band On The Wall, July’s podcast sees a slightly hungover Chim, aka James Fieldsend, aka the black heart of Mind On Fire working his way through some of his favourite records. Known to wield his axe with intent in the band his selections do lean towards more guitar based tunes although there are few surprises in the 55 minutes. Enjoy.
June’s installment of the MOF Band Podcast takeover sees us in the always reliable hands of the bands singer Martin Connor. Recently described as combining “the tenderness of Curtis Mayfield and the strength of James Brown” in his performances with the band he today gives his vocal chords a rest to pick a sweet selection of Reggae and Soul, perfect for any summers day.
Mays Podcast comes courtesy of Chartist, aka Joe Webster, aka the Jack of all trades of the Mind On Fire band. Joe can be found at various times manning the bass, melodica, xylophone and percussion to name just a handful. This mix gives you a flavour of just some of the sounds gracing his turntable at this moment.
